ABOUT ME

I have had various roles in the public sector which included management, case management and counselling roles. Much of my earlier career was in Child Protection and family services, where I learned to work with individuals and families using a trauma informed lens. My more recent experience in the Domestic Violence sector has also provided me with another perspective on the impact of violence and trauma on families. My counselling experience included working in community health in both a general, and forensic drug and alcohol counselling roles. I have also worked in private psychology clinics and enjoy working with the strengths and unique characteristics of each person. I work with adults of any gender and age group.

HOW I WILL HELP YOU

My style is to work holistically, and to provide clients with a safe, respectful, and supportive space, to think about their presenting issues. I focus on building resilience by exploring strengths and empowering individuals to be proactive by establishing specific goals and strategies. A major part of my approach is to explore the underlying factors which contribute to the presenting challenges, and to assist the individual to work towards personal growth and change.
